Wednesday, September 29th, 2010

Chicago Tribune editorial – Entitlement nation. More are living off tax revenues, and fewer are providing them

Wednesday, September 22nd, 2010

The Journal notes that payments to individuals of one kind or another now account for 64 percent of all outlays, up from 47 percent in 1990. And people who don’t pay income taxes may be more inclined to raise them on people who do.

“The Illusion With America” – Erick Erickson warns conservatives on lack of meaning in Contract with America Part II

Wednesday, September 22nd, 2010

While the Illusion with America will surely defund Obamacare and rein in the regulatory zeal of the Obama administration, I hear it will do nothing about already enacted regulations, will have very little in it relating to a pro-family agenda, and most troubling it will most definitely not rein in the federal government itself.

Jay Cost – Health Care Reform Has Endangered the Democratic Majority

Tuesday, August 31st, 2010

It would be difficult for any strong partisan to admit that such an accomplishment was so deeply unpopular. Yet the polling is pretty unequivocal on the relationship between the Democrats’ fortunes and the health care bill. It was evident in the President’s job approval numbers. It was evident in Virginia, New Jersey, and Massachusetts.
