Our Guest Speaker for the evening will be U.S. Senator Jerry Moran of Kansas. Senator Moran served eight years in the Kansas Senate prior to going to Washington D.C., where he served for seven terms in Congress. In 2010, he was elected to the Senate seat vacated by then-Senator Sam Brownback.

The Midwest Center for Holocaust Education will be showing an hour-long documentary, The Holocaust: Through Our Own Eyes, on Thursday, January 20.

Written and produced by Jack Cashill, the documentary walks more than forty holocaust survivors back through their history and the world’s.

Beginning with the turmoil in Europe in the wake of World War I and ending with the survivors’ bittersweet arrivals in America, the film traces the origins, implementation, and aftermath of the Holocaust, punctuating the larger historical narrative with revealing looks at the personal tolls the Holocaust exacted.

The show is free and begins at 7:30 PM. in the White Theatre on the Jewish Community Center campus.
