Intersection closure planned at 79th Street, Lackman Road
Crews to replace large stormwater drainage structure under intersection
The intersection of 79th Street and Lackman Road will be closed for approximately three weeks, weather permitting, beginning October 26. Crews will replace a large drainage structure under the intersection. Traffic detours will be posted.
This work is part of a larger project that will include installation of a traffic signal, infrastructure replacement and stream stabilization along the streamway that runs from Ad Astra Park northeast to Little Mill Creek.
Funding for the project is provided by the Johnson County Stormwater Management Program, the Kansas Department of Transportation and various city funds. Learn more about this project at www.lenexa.com.
