______________

Jack,

” ‘Elementary my dear Watson.’  Like a great sleuth you have peeled back the curtain to reveal the real Obama fom the Manchurian Candidate. Your book reads at the pace of a novel but sets a new standard in analysis based on facts. One of the best read in years. Thank you.”

FairTaxKC – Congresswoman Lynn Jenkins Co-Sponsors the FairTax Bill HR25

Sunday, March 13th, 2011

FairTaxKC is pleased to announce that Congresswoman Lynn Jenkins, representing the 2nd Congressional District of Kansas has signed as a co-sponsor of The FairTax Act of 2011, HR25. We were notified this morning by Bill Roe, District Representative in her Topeka, Kansas Office that she signed as a co-sponsor of HR25 yesterday.

Congresswoman Lynn Jenkins has always been a strong supporter of the FairTax. She was a co-sponsor of the FairTax HR25 in the 111th Congress. Lynn Jenkins is a CPA, and understands the principles of the Free Enterprise system as a solution for America’s economic recovery.

The FairTax will accelerate the creation of jobs in the United States when investors realize that the FairTax is the only tax reform bill in the US congress that allows job creation without the severe penalties embedded in the US Income Tax system.

We are pleased that Lynn Jenkins is now the third U.S. Representative from Kansas to co-sponsor the FairTax HR25. There are now 57 co-sponsors of the FairTax in the US House of Representatives and 5 in the U.S. Senate. For further information contact Earl Long FairTaxKC@EverestKC.net

Thomas More Law Center – State Dept. Spending Millions of Dollars on Mosques Overseas

Sunday, March 13th, 2011

While Americans are being crushed by a devastating recession, hundreds of millions of U.S. taxpayer dollars are being spent to refurbish mosques overseas. Many of these mosques are hotbeds of Islamic terrorism. Astonishingly, the State Department has provided computer equipment and internet access to local imams, which will enable them to incite terrorism online as exemplified by radical Imam Anwar al-Awlaki.

NY Times – How Flaws Undid Obama’s Hope for High-Speed Rail in Florida

Sunday, March 13th, 2011

The Tampa-to-Orlando route had obvious drawbacks: It would have linked two cities that are virtually unnavigable without cars, and that are so close that the new train would have been little faster than driving. But the Obama administration chose it anyway because it was seen as the line that could be built first. Florida had already done much of the planning, gotten many of the necessary permits and owned most of the land that would be needed.

In the end, though, the state’s new governor decided not to build it at all, worried that those very drawbacks would ultimately make it a boondoggle.

Rasmussen – Plurality Say Daylight Saving Time Is Not Worth the Hassle

Sunday, March 13th, 2011

A new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey finds that 47% of American Adults do not think Daylight Saving Time is “worth the hassle,” while 43% disagree. Ten percent (10%) are not sure. (To see survey question wording, click here.)  This is nearly identical to findings from November and last March when Daylight Saving Time last ended and began. Thirty-five percent (35%) of adults admit that they have arrived early or late somewhere because they forgot to change their clocks for Daylight Saving Time. Sixty-two percent (62%) say they haven’t had that problem.

Rasmussen – 63% Say Border Control Is Top Immigration Priority

Sunday, March 13th, 2011

Fifty-four percent (54%) of voters now agree with an immigration policy that keeps out only national security threats, criminals and those who would come here to live off America’s welfare system. This is down slightly from 58% last April but is generally consistent with findings for several years. Twenty-seven percent (27%) disagree with a policy like that, while another 19% are not sure about it. It is interesting to note that Democrats are less supportive of a welcoming immigration policy than Republicans and unaffiliated voters. Republicans support such a policy by a 3-to-1 margin and unaffiliated voters by a 2-to-1 margin. Among Democrats, 47% favor a welcoming immigration policy and 36% are opposed.
