(Reuters) - Netflix Inc has struck a deal with Relativity Media LLC to screen its movies ahead of pay-TV channels for the first time, putting it in competition with the likes of Time Warner’s HBO or Showtime.

Experian Hitwise reports Bing share of searches increases 7 percent for June 2010
Google receives 71 percent of share of searches

NEW YORK, NYJuly 8 2010 – Experian® Hitwise® announced today that Google accounted for 71.65 percent of all U.S. searches conducted in the four weeks ending June 26, 2010. Yahoo! Search, Bing and Ask received 14.37 percent, 9.85 percent and 2.19 percent, respectively. The remaining 70 search engines in the Hitwise Search Engine Analysis Tool accounted for 1.94 percent of U.S. searches.

One of the issues that seems to come up every time we have a Supreme Court nomination is that of cameras in the courtroom. As of now, the Justices do not allow cameras into their proceedings, merely transcripts and the occasional audio tape, and that seems unlikely to change. But there’s great pressure to bring the cameras in and allow C-SPAN to broadcast the Court’s proceedings. I think this is, bluntly, a very bad notion. (more…)

The gunman was described as 6 feet 5 inches tall and weighing 275 pounds. He was wearing a red baseball cap and had a red bandana over his face. He was a black man in his early 20s, the FBI said.

The Republican Party of Leavenworth County will celebrate the official opening of our Party Headquarters for the 2010 election season on Saturday, July 10, between the hours of 11:30am and 1:00pm.

The headquarter’s office is located at 110 S. 5th Street, Leavenworth.

Come out and meet your elected officials and candidates for office, enjoy light refreshments and meet some great people who share your concerns, and have a great time.

For the month of July, our hours of operation will be Monday, Wednesday and Saturday from 12:00 – 5:30pm.

In August, we will operate Monday through Saturday from 10:00 am – 6:00pm.
