NOTICE: SCHEDULING PICK-UP OF RESIDENTIAL WATER DAMAGED ITEMS

The City of Prairie Village will be coordinating with Deffenbaugh Industries for the pickup of Residential items which were damaged as part of the recent heavy rain events.

Items must have been damaged as part of the events that occurred on Saturday June 15th and Sunday, June 16th. This service is limited to residential properties and should be limited to items that were stored in basements or garages such as books, boxes, furniture, etc. Carpet will be accepted if cut into lengths of 4 feet maximum (3 feet preferred).

No other building materials such as drywall, etc. will be accepted. In addition, automotive parts, tires, batteries, hazardous waste, etc. will not be accepted.

Residents who have items must call City Hall at 913-381-6464 to request/schedule this special service by June 18th at 3:00 p.m. Residents will be asked for their name, address, and phone number to secure the scheduled pickup.

All items must be at the curb by Monday, June 21st at 5:00 p.m.

Deffenbaugh will pickup items on Tuesday, June 22nd for properties North of 75th Street and on Wednesday, June 23rd for properties South of 75th Street.
