Tiahrt Welcomes Parker Griffith to GOP
U.S. Representative Todd Tiahrt (R-Kansas) today released the following statement following the announcement that U.S. Representative Parker Griffith (R-Alabama) has switched his party affiliation from Democrat to Republican.
“President Obama and Speaker Pelosi have seen their first victim of the ill-conceived takeover of America’s healthcare system,” said Tiahrt. “Parker Griffith has seen the Obama/Pelosi government-down approach to the economy and fully understands it is bad for the economy and the future of our country.
“Parker clearly understands what most Americans are saying – they do not want government controlling our economy or running our healthcare system. If President Obama and Speaker Pelosi continue to turn a deaf ear to the American people, Parker and I will be joined in Congress by many more Republicans following the 2010 elections.
