“Unavoidable conflict” — Steve Rose backs out of tonight’s candidate forum

At 8:44 a.m. today, we received this Email from the Hope for America Coalition, which is sponsoring tonight’s Third District Candidate Forum at KU’s Edwards Campus in Regnier Hall:

Good morning all,

Since you had previously RSVPd for the Candidate Forum this evening, you will be the first to know about this.

We received a call yesterday from Steve Rose.  He informed us that due to an “unavoidable conflict” in his schedule, he will NOT be able to attend tonight’s Candidate Forum.  He also stated that he sincerely apologized for pulling out of the Forum on late notice, and that he would be happy to attend a future HFAC meeting (perhaps as early as next month) to address our group.

We hope that this will not affect your decision to come out to the event tonight (we will still have all of the other major Republican candidates there), and we apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause.  But we felt that we needed to let you know in advance.

In Freedom,
