Seattle Post-Intelligencer: Olivo helps Royals sweep Reds
Kansas City, MO (Sports Network) – Miguel Olivo hit a two-run homer and ended with four runs batted in, as the Royals completed a three-game sweep of the Reds with a 7-1 final to cap a weekend interleague series from Kauffman Stadium.
Brian Bannister (5-3), winless in his previous three outings, spun eight solid frames and yielded just one unearned run on four hits. The right-hander walked one and struck out four.
Alberto Callaspo had a two-run triple, while Mark Teahen was 3-for-4 with an RBI for Kansas City, which has won four of its last five.
