KC Star: Leawood designer has a table in New York City

The Star:

DyAnn Stilley of Leawood is one of four designers nationwide chosen to have a table on display at the Mackenzie-Childs store in New York City. The company makes hand-crafted ceramic and enamel tableware, furniture and garden accessories.

“I was scared but honored when I discovered I was selected,” Stilley says. “It’s exciting.”

Mackenzie-Childs is hosting an all-day shopping event Thursday that donates 15 percent of the day’s sales to the charity of the winning designer’s choice. Stilley has chosen KVC Behavioral HealthCare, based in Olathe, a nonprofit that provides education and social services for children and families.
