Eagle: Jury in Kansas RICO gang trial accused of misconduct
Lawyers for the men convicted of racketeering conspiracy through the Crips street gang have accused jurors of misconduct.
The defense is asking a federal judge in Wichita for a new trial, arguing the jury was not impartial during its deliberations in April.
But the presiding juror said the jury approached its job seriously and meticulously.
“We took total credence of innocent until proven guilty,” the juror said this week. “It’s not like anyone had preconceived notions.”
