Kansas City Airline History Museum director Paul Sloan resigns

Prime Buzz:

Paul Sloan resigned Saturday as executive director of the Airline History Museum in Kansas City.

Sloan submitted his resignation letter before a special meeting of the museum’s board, saying his decision was in the “best interest” of the organization.

“I will remain a member of the museum and continue to volunteer,” Sloan wrote.

Board president Bill Skaggs accepted the resignation, and said volunteer Larry Brown will serve as interim director of the facility, located at Charles B. Wheeler Downtown Airport. Sloan will receive a severance of three months’ salary and health insurance coverage.

“Paul did a lot for the museum,” Skaggs said. “But it’s probably best that we move on.”
