‘THE DREAM MANAGER’ IS FOCUS OF APRIL 3 BOOK TALK
Matthew Kelly’s thought-provoking new book, ‘The Dream Manager,’ is the subject of a single-session book talk from noon to 1:30 p.m. Friday, April 3 in 264 GEB.
“The temptation is to convince yourself that your employees’ dreams are not relevant to your business,” Kelly wrote. “That is only true if your employees are not relevant to your business—and if that were true, why would you employ them? Most employees feel like they are being used. But if you can genuinely convince them that you have their best interests at heart, then you will reverse that belief, and in the process create a spirit of teamwork and loyalty rarely unleashed in the corporate world before now. Dreams are invisible, but powerful. You cannot see them, but they keep everything going.”
Marilyn Gairns and Elisa Waldman will facilitate the discussion.
Staff Development will provide books to those who register through MyJCCC using CRN 30426.
Please contact staff development at staffdev.dept@jccc.edu or ext. 7654 to make arrangements to pick up your book.
