Wal-Mart, CVS: Consumer tech meets medicine

One of President Obama’s big initiatives is the get the cost of health care under control. His administration is spending billions to, among other tasks, digitize medical records. Controlling health care costs is a noble goal, but consumer tech may beat him to it.

Wal-Mart has announced they will start selling health care record systems to doctors. CVS has found great success in opening mini-medical clinics in its stores.
